Welcome I like your interested in cutting flames in to a Xbox 360 console I have seen so many done and none really seemed to impress me. When i first got started in modding, that was my first thing also i surfed the internet and many modding sites , and seen there wasn't many good flame cut out's. Hope to see your work soon. Not trying to show off or nothing but I have also done with a flame cut out, Hope you like it!
Rodent's XBOX 360 sound
welcome. Rodent we all know you are the man......an old one but a man none the less....
I pretty much use a 15 watt iron for everything, Unless i am desoldering parts off a board then i use a 25 watt or 40watt iron, I don't use a dremel for cut outs , some say its a skill saw or scroll saw. jigsaw is what i used for cutting out mine. took me about 45 minutes to a 1 hour with all the detail i had in mine, Really sucks that console isnt around any more some kid destroyed it i got it back and sold the case after i fixed it. My plan is to make another one yet ever better , Nice pic need to change the leds to blue or make the flame blue and white that is what my next project was going to be
Well, I completed the rapid fire mod and everything works great My soldering looks like a 2 year old did it, but hell it all works, I didnt burn anything out, and I managed to follow the directions correctly xDNext mission: case mod
